Visit to Boston - Photostory
We recently had the opportunity visit a church and my cousins near Boston, MA. We enjoyed our time there so much and had a great time visiting downtown Boston!
On Friday night we went to the Quincy Market for supper!
The Quincy Market was built in 1826 to provide additional shopping space as an indoor pavilion for vendor stalls. The massive building was named in honor of Mayor Josiah Quincy, who organized its construction and had it built, amazingly, without any tax or debt! Today, the market has changed from grocery to gourmet/fast-food stalls. Both sides of the corridor are filled with the best food vendors in Boston! There are so many different choices here - absolutely amazing! I had the clam chowder and it was excellent!
Once you finally decide what you'd like to eat, the center dome of the Market provides an wonderful atmosphere to enjoy your meal!
Looking back outside, there are many new shops to visit.
And even the old-fashioned Farmer's Market!
As, it becomes darker, the beautiful Custom's House Tower stands at nearly 500ft and is viewable throughout the entire area.
Of course, no trip to Boston would be complete without a visit to the Boston Harbor!
